My name is Tabitha Chan and I am a student at the University of Western Ontario studying towards receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours Specialization, Major in English Language and Literature and a Certificate in Digital Communications.
My true passion in life is in being creative and doing art. This little online space will be where I will be sharing ideas about all different types of do-it-yourself crafts, ranging from gift cards to home decor ideas. As an artist myself, I hear a lot of my friends saying “I couldn’t do art if my life depended on it”. I truly believe each and every single person has the ability to be an artist. Anyone can learn the skills of how to draw or paint, but what really makes an artist is where their inspiration comes from.
The name “dolceinspiration” comes from two separate words. I have always loved the world “dolce” because of the way it sounds and also its meaning. The purpose of my blog is to inspire people with simple projects that they can do themselves and show them that anyone can be an “artist”.
dol·ce [dohl-chey; Italian dawl-che] is actually a musical term that means sweet and gentle.
in·spi·ra·tion [in-spuh-rey-shuhn] means a divine influence directly and immediately exerted upon the mind or soul.
